Overview

I am responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the LED wall. During each project, I ensure that the LED wall panels are mounted correctly and are working at their best.

What I Do

  • Installation and Configuration:I assemble the LEDwall panels with care, checking for stability and correct alignment during installation.
  • Routine Maintenance:I perform regular checks and firmware updates to keep the system in tip-top condition.
  • Troubleshooting:I promptly diagnose and resolve any technical problems, such as signal loss or defective pixels.
  • Support and Coordination:I communicate with production teams to ensure the system meets current operational needs.

LED wall programmer

Overview

I work as a LED wall programmer, configuring and optimizing the display to display the desired content and effects.

What I Do

  • Programming and Configuration:I set and adjust the LED wall software parameters to control content playback, transitions and visual effects.
  • System Integration:I set up control protocols such as DMX or Art-Net so that the LEDwall is synchronized with the other elements of the production.
  • Software Customization:I use dedicated interfaces, like those offered by Brompton, to quickly set and switch between different presets during live events.
  • Debugging and Error Handling:I resolve any software or performance issues to ensure smooth operation.

Virtual Production Manager

Overview

In the context of virtual production I deal with the integration of the LEDwall as a dynamic background, coordinating the technical aspect with the creative team for a flawless live experience.

What I Do

  • Technical Supervision:I manage the integration of the LEDwall within virtual sets, ensuring it interacts correctly with cameras and live streams.
  • Workflow Management:I coordinate activities between technicians, programmers and creative teams to create a consistent visual experience.
  • Real-Time Adjustments:I make immediate edits during filming to maintain visual consistency and resolve any technical discrepancies.
  • Project Coordination:I help manage timelines, resources, and overall organization so that each element reflects the overall creative vision.

AV Technician

Overview

As an AV technician I am responsible for the joint management of audio and visual systems during live shows and installations. I work to ensure that the LED wall and audio systems work in perfect sync.

What I Do

  • Complete Installation:I set up and install both the LED wall and the audio systems, ensuring they operate in harmony.
  • System Test:I perform thorough checks and calibrations on all components prior to events to ensure flawless performance.
  • Resolution and Maintenance:I promptly address any technical issues, maintaining a balance between audio and visual elements in real time.
  • Team Coordination:I work closely with content creators, other technicians and production managers to achieve seamless audiovisual integration.

Video Designer / Projection Designer

Overview

As a video and projection designer, I focus on the creative development and production of visuals for LED walls and projection surfaces, combining technical execution and artistic vision to transform spaces into immersive visual environments.

What I Do

  • Creative Concept:I develop visual ideas aimed at different audiences and in line with the theme of the production.

Receiving CardsConfiguration

Overview

I configure the reception cards to ensure that the video signal is processed correctly for display on the LED wall. I adjust key parameters so that the inputs from different sources are clear and without interruptions.

What I Do

  • Signal Integrity:I set up the receiver cards to handle video signals without latency or loss.
  • Compatibility:I adapt the cards to interface with different input sources, such as DMX and Art-Net.
  • Custom Settings:I adjust resolution, refresh rate and color calibration according to project specifications.
  • System Integration:I ensure that the receiver cards interface seamlessly with the systems processors, including those in Brompton and NovaStar.

Processors’ Configuration

Overview

I am in charge of the configuration of the LEDwall processors, which are the control center of the system. A correct configuration allows for an efficient distribution of the video signal and a precise calibration.

What I Do

  • Central Control:I manage the processing and distribution of the video signal on multiple panels through special processors.
  • Preset Profiles:Set up and save different configuration profiles to adapt system output to various environments and applications.
  • Real-Time Adjustments:I make live adjustments to parameters such as color balance, brightness and contrast to respond to field conditions.
  • Remote Access:I use local and remote interfaces to quickly change settings, working with Brompton and NovaStar hardware.

Distribution Units’ Configuration

Overview

I configure the distribution units to efficiently route the processed signal to all the panels of the LED wall. My goal is to maintain uniform signal quality across the entire surface.

What I Do

  • Optimized Routing:I set up the distribution units to handle multiple outputs, minimizing signal degradation.
  • Modularity:I integrate these units into different panel configurations to accommodate various installation sizes.
  • Scalability:The configuration is suitable for both medium and large scale projects, maintaining uniform brightness and color gradations.
  • Interoperability:I verify that the distribution units work without problems with hardware from several manufacturers, including Brompton and NovaStar.
